Argo I have a group of friends up here that swear by the summits. A few have arctic cats but wish they had the skidoo.... They are light and fast and am told they are easy to work on plus they have a huge aftermarket. Arctic cats do too but just not quite the same niche. 154 is the minimum they use. Most are over 160.

New is always nice since you know it hasn't been abused. Plus the warranty will def be nice.

Snowboard getting split and plan on buying a sled

Hey all

This season I decided to get a split board and a sled before I start having kids
I ride at Baker & Crystal (mostly side country).
Been doing some research on what sled to buy and it seems it should be a Ski-doo summit 800 154 or an Arctic Cat M8 153.
Researching which sled to buy has been tough as not sure if I should go with a used one or buy last year's sled new (comes with cash back , 2-3 year warranty and good financing), last thing I want is being stuck in the middle of nowhere.

Primarily I plan on using the sled to access backcountry terrain for snowboarding primarily.

Any suggestions on locations, what sleds to buy, meet ups would be really appreciated.

rules for sledding areas as far as in Washington state.. you cannot sled in federal wilderness Area zones or ski resorts..
well until some of the resorts close for the season..

then its game on!!

That is badazz.. I've always wanted to bomb the groomed runs on my sled at WOT. Awesome

+1 on that! I'm lucky to have both!
