Snowboarding in Bosnia and Herzegovina

Hi everyone!

First thread on snowboarding forum so ill try to make it ash short as possible. I live in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina and I am using this opportunity to attract more snowboarders/skiers to this wonderful country. Most people think "war" when they hear about Bosnia and Herzegovina. The thing is that war ended 15 years ago and this country has rebuild itself and now has lot to offer. In 1984 Winter Olympic games found place in Bosnia and the city where i live and work(Sarajevo) is surrounded by amazing mountains. Because we are third world country our standards are low, therefor you can come and snowboard/ski here on Olympic mountains for around 250€ for entire week. I have calculated in that amount accommodation, ski pass, carving equipment and transport expense. I know, sounds ridiculous compared to other ski resorts. Daily ski pass here is around 15€ and you can get from center of Sarajevo (Capital city of Bosnia and Herzegovina) to a nearest Olympic mountain for 2.5€.You can Google "Jahorina" or "Bjelasnica" to see what I`m talking about.
Also i work in a hostel called Travellers Home Hostel and we offer amazing accommodation at lowest price. You can check us out at HostelBookers.com under hostels, Sarajevo. We are top rated hostel with current 99.5% rating. You can contact us at info@myhostel.ba if you are interested in visiting Bosnia or you need some information, also we can organize everything for you.
But snowboarding is not the only reason for you to come here, because we are laid back people who like to enjoy life, drinking and partying, Sarajevo is famous for its night life, and people are generous and almost everyone speaks English!
I think we deserved to be remembered for all the good things this country has to offer and not as war ravished country.

Peace and love from Bosnia and Herzegovina
