Well it looks like Utah, the Cottonwood Canyons in particular should get 3 feet, maybe 4 for this week. No idea if more is on tap for next week, but once Utah gets going, storms are usually frequent. They also tend to have cooler temps helping to keep untracked snow decent for longer. I don't think Colorado is in tap for nearly as much snow as Utah. It's looking fickle for Montana and Wyoming at the moment.
The PNW is boasting the best conditions right now. Baker would be my choice out of every spot in the west. Not too mention, Baker is bad ass.

|neednsnow||Rocky Mountain area? As in where? Jackson Hole and Big Sky are in the Rockies and have been getting decent snowfall with a ton more to come this week. If you want guarantees, good luck. Your best bet is to jump on a plan the 21st or 22nd. Im sure it'll take a few days till the resorts can get caught-up after a series of storms to come the next week. By Next Tuesday skies will be opening up to bluebird and the entire northwest will be a pretty white! That I can guarantee!|

It's probably going to snow.
Sounds like Utah is going to do decent. Colorado is looking up. Montana and Wyoming are probably the better bets. Hard to say more than two weeks out.

calling all weather gurus
I'm hearing reports of it about to start dumping in the Rocky Mountain area. Anyone that follows and understands the jetstreams fill me in on what's about to happen? I have until 2nd week of February to come out for one more trip but am wanting to make sure I go out with a bang
