What I mean by this is that you need to bend your knees before the jump starts getting steep, if you bend your knees or lift your legs up as you're going off the lip, the lip of the jump won't launch you into the air as it's supposed to do, and you'll probably be hitting the knuckle. It might be that you're trying to jump too early, and this is causing you not to get launched into the air as you're supposed to.
Now spinning is a different story, but if you're just learning to straight air off park kickers, let the kicker do the work for you!

|abomb||If I was jumping on a step up at full speed but was not clearing the nuckle should I launch crouched or pull my legs up from a standing position?|

|Qball||If you are doing a straight air and not clearing the knuckle, you simply don't have enough speed. If you are clearing the jump when straight airing but not clearing when you spin with the same speed, you are probably pre-spinning. Pre-spinning is when you start spinning before you have popped of the lip causing you to scrub of some speed, leading to a knuckle sandwich.|

why when I am going fast enough I still cannot clear the jump. Do i need to pop off?How can I pop if I am starting a spin?Thanks for all input.
