Who will steal the opportunity to snake his best friend’s line. (my friend did this, what a dick)
Who will suffer ridicule of family and friend for his antics.(yes)
Who will disappear into each single endless moment. (every time)
Who will whoop, holler and giggle while careening toward certain death. (also every time, i do that a lot)
Who wills secretly, a death…riding free and wild. (if you aren't getting hurt you aren't trying hard enough)
Who will, upon death, reply…”who has truly lived but a fool?" (probably sounds like something i would say)
that list is pretty fucking great. it applies to your attitude, not your days ridden or super cool gear or skill level, just your enjoyment from the sport

Eazy Aristotle... That was good. Can't do better than that. It would be cool to do a start a thread with this question and your format and have people add, one line at a time and you can only post after someone else has gone would be a great rule. I bet we would come up with a few pages of great stuff.

Some of my favorite days have been days when someone had to drag me to the hill. So I guess for me it's that you never know what to expect, but that go's with Argo point. Some days I snowboard and some days I'm a snowboarder...

Seriously though, I think you guys are putting balls and mindset way ahead of things like knowledge/training/experience (the things that make people competent in the occupational health and safety world). On the other hand I tend to ride noticably tamer if nobody's watching, so I guess at some level it's balls/adrenaline/outright flaming attention whoring.

I know there are times of the year and times of the day that my head is ahead of my body, I've got the skill but the muscles don't do what the head tells them to anymore, and sometimes it's the other way around. I know after 20 years I should be totally comfortable blasting huge air in the park. In the powder bowls I do it off natural features without hesitation, but my mind has some sort of block on big kickers. Guess I gotta work on the balls.
