NP - get there early and enjoy wherever you're riding.

LuckyRVA Thanks for the heads up

And I seriously laughed out loud thinking about getting a bee stuck in your helmet! Haha

Snowrax Thanks for the TR. Figured the conditions would be as such and will go to Big Boulder as planned since it's closer.

Stung on my last run?

Dude, I am here now and got f'ng stung by a wasp or bee that went inside my helment as I was merrily crushing at speed. Had to stop for a rum and coke (and ice for my head).
Anyway the webcams don't lie. More patch than scratch but that said there is top to btm on a main and sub run - enough for a sufficient goodbye if you beat the crowds. The snow is soft so good for beginners or for going as fast as the snow allows you to plow.
The alt to the top/btm is a technical mogul run which is doable as an advanced/int boarder 'cause the snow is so soft.
Either way, you can get your runs on, there are no lines really and the vibe is decent (for a Friday). Oh but definitely bring your rock board or be prepped for some nuggets on the base. Cyah.

LuckyRVA Post the conditions when you get back. If it's soo sad looking I may just not use my last triple pass ticket.

Hunt - Friday 3/23

Running up there now - Still I have one more on my 3x and since I have no work at the moment, why the heck not?

Will take 2 hours but seems like Beltway still has top to bottom potential according to one of the folks I spoke to at Hunter this AM.

FYI, one of the folks at Hunter mentioned today that they plan to spread the base somewhat for the last day on Saturday.

Still bringing my golf clubs too just in case it is too sad for words. Big debate of the moment is whether to go with or without the protective gear - I shudder to get injured on my last run of the season but on the other hand its going to be hecka warm and I am not into sweatin on the lifts.

Cripes, why am I still writing and not on the road?

Snowrax Just saw Hunter's FB post saying they are closing after Sat and not opening for Sun.

LuckyRVA I'm really not motivated to go either. But both me and my fiancee have a pass to use. More than likely we will go on Saturday. I'll update the thread when I get back.

Snowrax I have one more on my Hunter triple pass too. But looking at their web cam, I have zero motivation to make the trip. If you go Sat, post a trip report. Might still go Sun.
