SnowOwl Planning on hitting up Mammoth for the first time this season. Lemme know when you guys go! I'm down to wake up and drive at 0100 and make the first lifts there I went camping up in the Eastern Sierra Nevadas this past week and was drooling at the site of Mammoth as we drove by. Dying..

duh Nov 8th is the planned opening date. If we get enough snow before the 8th they will open. I've ridden some DEEP powder in october here before, but you can't plan on an early opening. Last year we barely had enough snow to get open by opening day.

mrmidWest When does Mammoth open typically? I got long weekends in October and then for Thanksgiving, was hoping they'd be open by then..

philadendron Awesome photos, so jealous you were there for powder. Thought about June but we were Mammoth first timers and Mammoth is one of those bucket list places.

Hey, were you the one who posted a short review thread? (edit, you weren't! Sorry!) Yeah, this was a fun week for sure. I got home last night. Yesterday was blowing snow all day, patrol bombing and the top closed.

Today is the day for sure. Sucks to be working.

two words why I snowboard-- Yard. SALE.

everything on the Eagle side was hit and miss Ridge looked icy and I did not go up there.

Are you working Monday? I have Monday off and I'm a maybe for Tuesday. Im thinking I'll leave LA tomorrow afternoon ad hit up Grumpys late night happy hour. Then ride all day Monday and head home. If don't end up working Tuesday I might stay another day but if you want to come I can leave Monday night regardless.

I really don't want to sit in a car for 10 hours over two days but I need my gear so I can ride locally. It's pilot season and work is also picking up for me. If I don't go back now, I don't know when I'll be able to go again. Not only did I leave my boots and board I left a lot of clothing, I didn't want to pay to check a bag on the plane.

I need my gear cos I'm totally picking up a pass to High so I can ride the rest of the year for free
