Timmy, that would be great, but Seymour leases land from the provincial gov't in the winter season. It's actually a provincial park the rest of the time. So, negotiations would be required with a government that's cash-starved right now. Ungood.
But yeah, all that hiking area behind Brockton would be great if opened up.

Does any one know if it going to open up any new terrain?
They should leave the existing lift in place & design the new one to go up farther.
When you get to the top right now, you can see all this wicked terrain, but you can't get to it unless you hike.
Seems like a bit of a waste. The old lift may be shitty, slow & old, but it works.
Maybe they will take the old one & put it up there? I don't know if that's possible but it would sure be nice.

our resort is small in comparison and we now have 3 HS quads. This season was awesome for lift lines but I think a lot of that was people didn't have snow in their yards so how can we go skiing. Either way was great to have short lift lines.
You'll love it and it's nice to see resorts improving the facilities for us riders

Seymour announces new HIGH SPEED QUAD!
Rumour no more!!!!!!!!
From their web page:
Multi-Million Dollar Investment at Mount Seymour!
New detachable high speed quad chair being installed for the 2012-2013 season... Mystery Peak Express!
Mount Seymour is excited to announce the addition of the 5 million dollar state of the art Mystery Peak Express quad chairlift.
The new detachable high speed Doppelmayr lift from Austria will be installed over the summer months in time for the 2012-2013 season. Mystery Peak Express promises to cut line-up times by more than half. The new chairlift will transport skiers and boarders to the top of the mountain in record time, taking just four minutes, compared to the currently-in-use lift, which takes nearly nine minutes.
The upgrade follows the installation of Vancouverís only fully covered magic carpet conveyer lift this season, demonstrating Mt Seymourís ongoing commitment to providing guests with the best possible on mountain experience.
To which, sez I:
