Ride Machete - size help

So, looking at buying my first board (and bindings) for the upcoming winter season here in NZ.

I'd probably class myself as intermediate - happy with green and blue runs, powder or groomed, starting to handle some of the black runs. Also just starting to go off piste and through the glades and keen to learn some tricks too. So looking for something all mountain but that I can start to learn freestyle.

Having done a pile of research (and had some earlier recommendations on here), I'm pretty keen on the Ride Machete - even more so because I found a pretty reasonable deal online on the 2012 on an NZ website.

Wanted to check out sizing - bit of a toss-up as to board length and whether or not to go wide. I'm 80kg (176 pounds), 178cm (5'10") and wear a size 12 US boot.

I'm tossing up between the 158 or the 157W - any thoughts? My suspicion is that the 157W is probably a better fit given my boot size.
