|T.J.||a gallon of veggie oil (clean, from the grocery store) is still cheaper than gas. if you were REALLY that lazy that you dont want to go around to restaurants to get the oil and filter it then you can still dump just straight clean veggie oil in.|

|Simply^Ride||But like everything the demand for the oil increases and then the price will also increase, of course it will never get to $6.00 a gallon but I am not sure if it's worth the time of looking for it.|

I own a 2nd hand 2001 honda dio. 50cc's of pure scooter muscle.
I live very close to the middle of town and scooter to uni through the intense traffic every day.
I spend NZ$10 on gas every 2 weeks and save hours by being able to scooter between traffic

^^^^^^ Do you how you convert your car to run on used vegy oil?
Not that I plan on doing it, but I am curious of the process involved in it.

Bikes aren't a bad idea. I used to ride a crotch rocket and consistently got 36mpg commuting to and from work, as well as weekend canyon runs. They are fun as hell, but also very dangerous.
I also had a little rice rocket Integra GS-R, that got 31mpg. But after 173k miles, burning oil, and a blown headgasket among other things, I had to trade it in for the Hybrid.
Filling up twice a month kicks ass.

Yeah TJ, I thought it would be much worse, totally surprised after we bought it.
And MPD, we have more in common than you might imagine, what with weed, gin and tonic (although I'm a Bombay man, myself), campfires and fishing. Of course any sane person loves all those things, but I don't think you'll ever sell me on the Grateful Dead...to quote Killclimb (I think?), I just can't handle that Jingle-Jangle, noodle music!
Now where did I put that bong...
