SnowMotion Wow I have been kinda off the grid for a couple of months and this is just bad news to return to! RIP Tom Boardsports would not be anywhere without you!

Actually I'm pretty young, grew up in SB in the 90's - but my parents grew up there in the 70's and were part of the skate/surf rat culture, so they knew him pretty well.

MeanJoe RIP Tom Sims. You, and others like you, invented a sport and nurtured its growth. The first time I ever saw someone snowboard was in 1987 and they were on a Sims Blade. After that day, I never put on skis again and snowboarding became my passion to this very day. Thank you Tom and may you rest in peace and never be forgotten.

Tom Sims will be missed

I can't believe Tom Sims is gone! My first snowboard was a sims! Dude did so much for the sport and will never be forgotten!!
