Inept over seas shippers.
Entire 1st week of work trip to Madrid spent being a tourist because a shipping crate was lost in Luxemberg. Supposedly in Spain now but presumably stills needs to clear customs and make the rest of the journey so I'm thinking more tourist until Tuesday at least.

Originally slated for the "I Hate" thread....
Had a flat tire @ work last night. So @ midnight, in the rain, I was struggling to remove the flat & put on that crummy donut spare on. To make matters worse,... the crappy stamped steel lug wrench that is provided, stripped one of the nuts. I Almost wasn't able to remove the flat AT ALL! Luckily,.. I hammered the thing onto the nut with the scissor jack of all things and standing on the wrench got the last nut off!
So this morning, needing the puncture plugged. I took it in to the local Discount Tire shop. But,.. with the upcoming holiday weekend EVERYBODY was in getting last minute travel fixes. So the wait to have it fixed AND mounted was going to be a ridiculously looong one. Since, I needed this done for work by 2:00, I left the tire to be plugged only, and would mount it myself @ home. I was given a 40-50 min window. TWO HOURS later it was finally finished. I arrived @ the shop prepared to be upset & cranky, but when I asked "how much?" I was told "it was on them!"
Puncture fixed, new tpm valve stem and wheel balanced,.. No Charge???
That type of customer service will have me returning for sure, wait or no wait! I don't expect freebies,.. but I certainly do appreciate them when I get them.
With that one gesture,.. they managed to remove 98% of the anger, sting and frustration over this whole F'd up situ.
Thats the Way to make happy customers out of pissy, grumpy 'ol curmudgeonly ones!!

(Sung to the tune of 99 bottles of beer)
37 days left to work at this job,
37 days left to work.
Work a day, that's one more away,
then 36 days left to work at this job.

But with all those cliffs... one should really know the terrain. - Ah, that's where I go. Just follow me. He said and lightened a spliff.
We spent the entire day riding with him, he showed us all the great lines, pointed out all the hidden crevasses and entries to chutes, and had a very fast pace. When I mentioned that I love how fast he skies big fast turns, that it's a pleasure to follow him he laught and said his knees are too bad to do too many short turns, straight is easier. Lol. 'Twas our best day this season following this grizzly skier with the heart of a 20yo

Never growing up.
This morning was absolutely perfect spring condition groomers, empty hill, probably the best carving I've done all season, got the hand down a few times on heelside carves, felt gooooooood. I'd checked uphill and there was no one there so laid out a big toeside euro right across the slope, half way across I see a skier come shooting out of the trees pretty close to me but never in any danger of colliding. He skids to a stop and apologises, hoping he didn't throw me off. I tell him it's all good, no harm done. He gets this cheeky smirk on his face and says "You like going fast aye? Catch me if you can!" points it downhill and goes into a tuck. I try my best but no chance of catching him as he steadily pulls away.
Best part about all of that, guy looked to be in his early sixties and was just rocking sunnies and a baseball cap, with a pony tail flowing out the back. I hope I'm as rad as that dude when I'm older!

That pic was accurate about 8 years ago.
Did anyone watch his roast? Too good.
