romie Cheers guys, I popped into a shop this morning, bought a pair of Burton Missions. Guy in there was very helpful and said I should def stick with the 157 due to it's my first purchased board and that it's rather stiff anyway.

That followed up with the comments from you guys.. I'm going to have a good ponder.

Cheers fellows, Romie

JoeBuer Funny thing. I stopped up to the shop and actually returned the Ride. Went with a GNU Carbon Credit in 156. Sooooo stoked!

I would t worry too much. I know I did but after talking with some on the forum Ive learned that the board will most likely just flex slightly softer than stated.
This is the only purpose of weight "limits," to give a better idea of flex. You're a little on the shorter side so I'd say go with the 157.

Outside board manufacturers weight limit. Ride DH 157/159

Morning,

I'm looking at a Ride DH 2012 board for Free riding.
I'm 85kgs with 9.5UK boot, 5'9 height.

I'd like the board to have fast response and so I'm thinking 157 but I'm worried that I'm outside of the stated weight limit.

The 157 just comes up to bottom of my chin.

Ride say 157 max weight of 82kgs for the DH.
The 159 max weight is 86kgs.

If anyone has experience with this, it would be of great help.

Many thanks, Romie
