The Ion's are most definitely out of my price range. I'd love to invest in a gopro since I ride dirt bikes and adventure bikes, but I do not want to be wearing a helmet cam or just riding with a pole. I would like to cam my friends more so then myself on a run...
With the POV camera, I can get a more steady image versus me holding a flip camera.
Any mounting suggestions?

Plus they make many different attachments, such as extended battery pack, rear viewing screen, remote control option, and tons of mounting options. Like I said I like the Idea of having the cam in goggles, hey wait...Someone tell Gopro about these camera goggles so they can get in the game.|

I have a pair (liquid image), bought them when they were first released and paid stupid money for them (the 1080p ones). Picture quality is weak compared to gopro and is shocking in low light conditions.
You'd be better off getting a gopro or Sony action cam which have a far better image quality and, obviously, way more mounting options. The goggle cam is really only good for filming your mates (but you need to stay close)

from what I can see, the summit has a standard old school cylindrical lens and apex has a spherical lens. I think both of them look dorky with such a huge/blatant camera area.
If you can afford it, Zeal has a kick ass looking iON POV goggle with an understated camera mount and better optics.

POV Camera In Goggles
I need some new goggles, and I was interested in getting a camera of some sort to video my runs/ buddies.
I cam across the liquid image goggles but cannot find many user reviews about them. There are a couple posts/ topics here but no one seems to have actually used them. Has this changed in the past year? Anyone?
Can anyone tell the difference between the 337 Summit and the 338 Apex? I cannot tell if it is a nicer goggle/ lens... it appears to have the same camera.
