Basti I agree with Snowklinger. I used to ride a NUG last season and I liked it a lot. In my opinion though it is a board that only makes sense when you have enough experience to compare it to a "regular" board. Edge hold and stability are not the board's strong suits and these attributes would help you learn faster. There are better choices out there for you. Try K2 Turbo dream or a Nitro Team Gullwing (these are only two of a hundred possible good suggestions though).

impossible internet lies there is no way to quantify fun so you must be lying

Honestly if you are brand new it really doesn't matter what board you get, chances are if you end up sticking with the sport you will want multiple different boards than the one you start with no matter what it is. The Nug may be a bit too "specialized" or "tech" or even "novelty" for you to consider as a first board. Look for something more run of the mill.

jfergus7 I purchased a Nug last year for my first ever board and never tried snowboarding before. Was the first board I ever tried and I love it!

Burton NUG

Hi everyone,I need some help I'm brand new to snowboarding....wondering everybody's thoughts on the burton NUG... Would this be a good beginner board ?
