|firstx1017||FWIW - With respects to Snow Summit - We go up there for Thanksgiving every year. Last year for Thanksgiving Weekend they only had Miracle Mile open as the one and only run - no others were open. They had only upper Summit Run open and then you had to cross over to Miracle Mile midway down the run - bottm of Summit run was not open. Only one chairlift was open. Pretty sure it will be the same thing this year.|

|cm4short||Bear/Summit said they're expected to start blowing snow as early this weekend. Their live cams show that they have blowers set up but no snow has fallen or being made as of yet. I think desired conditons are 20 and bleow with very low humidity. But wind conditons allow for better snowmakng from what I've read.|

|Kilgore Trout||Well, I'm assuming it would be below freezing. They look at the long range forecast to make sure they are not wasting their money on snow that is going to melt. Usually they open sometime around Thanksgiving. Mt High claims they will be open this Sunday. If they do it's gonna be pretty shitty, I'm not going to go until they have a decent base.|

SoCal resort openings?
It is known that Bear/summit and Mtn High blow their own snow when it gets cold enough. So typically what constant temp are they looking for before they start blowing snow? I thought they would be open by now.
