huckit I've always waxed before I take a new board out. You'll probably be fine, but why not? At least you'll know you're set to go. The factory's wax is not only to let you have a nice first ride, but also to keep the board in upmost condition while being in transportation/shipping, warehouses etc. Shred on!

grafta There is def a thread or two somewhere about this... but anyway...

Ride it, then wax it imo

Factory wax won't last long, but you know what to do when a board needs wax, so you're good

Waxing a Brand Spanking New Board

Did a search and couldn't come up with any info.

I had the chance to buy a brand new board!!. It's been 9 years, a wife, two kids, and a house. I have finally been able to catch up and get a new setup. I have always had 2 nd hand boards and rock boards. I do all my own tuning,..

So do I wax or keep the factory wax on?
What have you guys done?

Thx
