I have had some fantastic days at Bert after long dry spells with only 3-4" at this time of year. I would have sworn it was 10". I'd give it a try if I were you. You might be pleasantly surprised.
I have a meeting today in Boulder at noon that I was going to have to reschedule if I ended up taking a vacation day today. 6" was my cutoff. >6" and I was gonna ride. <6" and I was gonna go to that meeting.

Hopefully Saturday night's storm will deliver a few inches and I'll head up Sunday morning.

linvillegorge This has been an all-time bad March. Hopefully April is better. None of these storms we have lined up to wrap up March look like anything to get excited about by themselves, but hopefully we can get a few inches out of all of them and have it add up to make for some good days in the latter part of next week.

Right now, it's looking like I screwed up not taking these vacation days to bike or fish when it felt like mid-June instead of hoping that it would finally snow in March.

deagol It just started raining down here about 5 minutes ago, and it sounds pretty good too!!

Those new rain barrels will fill-up if I am lucky.....

this is wayyyy of topic, but these things are awesome if you want to capture rain water and use for landscaping...

linvillegorge Well, maybe that wobble happened. Latest run bumped us up from 2-4" to 5-7". Models had been steadily decreasing all day long.

Your timing was just off because January and February were GREAT. January 2017 was literally one of the snowiest months ever for CO.

Sucks for this one. I had high hopes for it. The deer and elk were crazy active the past few days and they're usually pretty accurate forecasters. Still not exactly sure what went wrong. Just took the dog for a walk and there's a lot of moisture in the air with a E/SE wind. That's the right recipe for us.
