linvillegorge CAIC sticking with about 8" though as of right now. I guess we'll find out in the morning.

linvillegorge This one is looking less promising. NOAA is hedging their bets south and east. They've backed off to only 2-4" for Loveland Pass.

I have three vacation days I have to use before the end of March. 6" or more on the snowstake is what I'm looking for in the morning. If we get it. I'm burning one, if not I'll keep it in the bank. Decent looking weather pattern ahead.

It's mainly the weather geeks and those who ride mountains with low base elevations that are showing some bummage. This storm NEEDS to come in warm at first. We need at least a few inches of dense snow to cover up the crud that's gonna be underneath whatever falls.

deagol this is a quote straight from CAIC:

"The unseasonably warm temperatures plaguing our mountains for the past few weeks means the old snow is wet to moist."

This weather is forcing the early closure of the Nordic Center we go to. Not sure how the others are fairing. Of course, they are all well below timberline so are vulnerable.

on second thought, I don't really have that hope.....
I abandoned any shred hope that that could ever happen after the election.

You're right tho about the bitchin' & complaining these same ppl will be doing come June/July when the entire state is burning!!

Along with weeks of 40░-50░ and 60░'s. We've had several 70░ days here in MI,... in February! That's insane!!! But ppl are smiling & talking about "how beautiful the weather is!!"

I was able to ride the local mole hill once this entire season!!! ONCE!!!

Thank God I didn't buy a $500 season pass!
