TMXMOTORSPORTS I am pretty sure they have smaller rooms.I would call them up and see what they have.

planters49 I'll be driving and will have my car so I can stay "off the mountain" and just drive back to the ski slopes. Any good best western or holiday inn type places that are good? I will be traveling my myself, so I don't need a big room or anything.

TMXMOTORSPORTS I stay at Expedition Station when I go there in a junior studio it has a bed on the floor and a fold out sofa a 2 burner stove top and microwave and sink. You can also stay at Siver Creek lodge I have never stayed there or at the SnowShoe Inn if you stay at the in you have to drive up to the resort there isn't a shuttle bus that goes down there.

planters49 Well, I just got a call from Appalachian and they are going to be closed this weekend. I was going to go up on Friday, ride, stay the night, ride sat and come home that night.

If I go to snowshoe, where is a good place to stay that is cheap and clean?

sleev-les Go to Snowshoe. Are you planning on staying the night? 6 hours isn't bad if you stay for more than a day.

Snowshoe Resort or wait and go to Appalachian mtn?

I'm supposed to go to Appalachian Mountain this weekend to snowboard which is only a 3 hour drive for me. They might not have snow though. Would it be worth it to drive 6 hours to Snowshoe in WV or wait for snow at Appalachian? If I miss this weekend, I will have to wait until the last weekend in Dec. to go anywhere again.
