thanks guys, great info and i hope it helps others.
We are staying in PC cause the person planning the trip is mainstream so PC is like the "marketed place".
But we tagged along incase of a storm dump and the roads are closed we would have a ski-able zone. Plus we getting 4 nights for about 220.
I understand the Ushape driving we will be doing.
POW MOW cat rides for 18 dollars is really intriguing me. ok i will most likely hold off on the advance tickets so i dont get stuck or anchored down.
discount shops: (check)
i will def look at that super pass!

The SLC super pass might also be worth considering, saves you the hassle of stopping each morning to buy a discounted lift ticket and you get free transit on UTA.

thing with UT is the weather can vary pretty widely between the resorts so your best bet would be to purchase day-of, if you're heading from PC to Snowbird/Brighton/Solitude you'll pass Salty Peaks and you can get tix there and I think that would only be a small detour (or possibly also on the route) to Pow Mow.
I don't think PC is a "must ride" but if you're there, you might as well save yourself the hassle of commuting at least one of the days and take it in.
Snowbird, don't pay extra for the tram you'll spend forever waiting in line and realistically you'll only use it once. The only thing that makes the tram ticket worthwhile is if you're legs are shot at teh end of the day you can download on it.

For my crew trip this year, I think we're tentatively looking at something like a day at Snowbird, a day at Brighton, and then another day at either Pow mow or maaaybe Park City.

buying discount tickets in advance and planning for UT
i was curious what the general consensus is for purchasing advance tickets.
Do your purchase them in advance according to mountain features/crowds?
or just take a risk and buy them when you get there, this way you can go with the best mountain with the best pow at the time. (i will be renting a SUV)
basically i am boarding in UT for 4 days but staying in old town park city.
but i cant do the math on whether to just board 1 day in PC and then go Snowbird for another day and then maybe powder mtn.
or PC 2x
SB 2 x
OR can one of you experts tell me which are the better choices in terms of mtns and avoiding crowds? (or must ride mtns)
