Shyne Hey guys,

Thanks a lot for the responses. Decided to just return it. Since it was an older model, they didn't have anything available for exchange but covered the return shipping so I'll just be looking to return it. Instead found a different store offering a 2011/2012 Raygun on clearance for $90!! Hopefully this one is in good condition, but even if it's not... for that price I don't know what I'd do.

bseracka Pic 3 and 4 look like there maybe some damage, but we'd need close ups to tell. Did you contact the etailer? On something like that most are pretty good on making you whole, wether it's an exchange, or covering repairs.

Pics 1 and 2 are normal from handeling, manugacturing and shipping nothing to worry about.

RedRomo Call them up and either ask for a refund or another board. Most legit businesses would be embarassed sending a new product out with flaws. I know I would.

Esmi99 It looks like it was ridden a few times, or just got mishandled during delivery. In any case, those things won't make any perceivable difference, and your board will get scratched way more after a few days on the mountain.

If it was sold as brand new and you have some free time you can probably bug them for a bit for a free beenie or smth.

Btw.. scratch in the 3rd picture looks pretty deep, you might want to take it to a local shop to make sure the core is not exposed

Question about some blemishes on a new board

Hey guys, just started reading some of the stuff on the board and planning on getting into snowboarding. I'm a complete amateur and just bought my first board, a K2 Raygun, from an online retailer. Bought a 2011-2012, but new board, to save some money, but when it came it wasn't shrink wrapped and had a bunch of small marks/blemishes on the bottom of it. I've included a few photos and just wanted your opinion of whether or not this was fairly typical or if this board wasn't taken care of.

Is this something that's worth returning and finding something else? Just wanted all your professional opinions. Was really excited to get out on the snow and just wanted to make sure I wasn't getting ripped off or anything. Thanks a lot guys.
