Tough to find a diehard, experienced skier that hasn't had their knees carved on by a surgeon or two. That's all the motivation I need to stay off the damn things.
I've just barely avoided knee surgeries a couple of times already. My knees don't need any help destroying themselves.

|ThunderChunky||Didn't end up going today. I am going Monday instead. I can ice skate extremely well. It's pretty much the same thing except for the surface area right? Obviously the tips of the skis and length make it different but same thing for turning and stopping the same as hockey stopping.|

to turn pick up your inside foot and put most of your weight on the outside leg. if you want to turn left and put your weight on your right ski.
Same as snowboarding make sure to unweight/pop when turning.

|KBNYY||Keep your weight mostly centered, but you'd rather have forward than back, just in case you catch some unexpected air.|

Snowboarding is predictable where it's gonna hurt when you're learning
