P-Ride Thanks man. Like most innovation, it was forced by personal experience!

Back out in ten days, will look forward to enjoying my goggles staying in place then!

I do enjoy the satisfaction of not just buying snowboarding gear, but getting it all setup, tuned and modified through experience, like a military op'!

Modified Bern G2 helmet (added side goggle-straps)

Hey, I recently took my second trip with my Bern G2 helmet. It's comfortable, warm, highly versatile (sliding vents) and looks awesome.

That said, as someone who uses their goggles a minority of the time, I became pretty fed up with them popping off my head whenever I wipe out; leaving them hanging and tangled off the back of my helmet.

I simply ordered two more Bern goggle clips and drilled two small pilot holes on each side to screw them into. Job done! Goggles will sit firm on my forehead, or easily fit my face in the sun.

Whilst I was at it, I also fitted two side mounts for the HD Hero. I have got a pole too, but sometimes it's useful to leave a camera running. With the extension kit I have, it hangs way to the side and slightly angled, to compensate for standing sideways (and another, for symmetry).

I'm sure someone will make a comment about affecting the structural integrity of the helmet, but they're two small pilot holes on each side, in the top layer of plastic on the helmet - much like the existing ones in the back for the factory-fitted one!
