Derp Season is over and I know a lot of people were really disappointed in the parks again this year. I'm just a lowly part-time snow carnie supervisor there with zero clout, but I was happy to see this -

Looks like folks are starting to take to social media to air their frustrations. I think this is going to catch on and take off. Almost 10,000 views on the Granite Peak Facebook page already.

16gkid Jeebus the powder yesterday was fucking epic! First time in the midwest there was enough snow to press on the tail and have the tip pointed in the air! It was such a good day to ride. I had to unstrap from the board and walk out from too much snow...in wisconsin lol

Deac I'm working 4-CL tonight so if you are riding at night we should send Scott a pic.
Right on.

bassness I'm very tempted to make the 3 hour drive up after seeing Granite getting 12" of new snow. One thing that is holding me back is that I saw that there's a chance of rain on Saturday.

So the dirt and grass is covered for a few more days. Just got my schedule through April 10th so I know for sure we will be open until that day.

My only worry is all of the sink holes. They are still there, but now filled with snow. Hopefully they are all still roped off. Could be some real sketchy spots yet unless you ride park all day.
I'm planning on coming up tomorrow...

16gkid I was out there last thursday, base was good, just kinda dirty. Im debating leaving in a few hours to head up, but like someone else said, the rain might have wreaked havoc on the base.
