WasatchMan Yup - Wasatch Snow Forecast rules!

And yes, I've only lived here since 2009, but this is by far the most intense winter we've had in the valley. Since November it seems as we have constantly had snow on the ground. Usually in downtown SLC we get a little bit of snow, then within a week it's gone... This has been the coldest and snowiest winter in the valley yet. I think SLC averages around 90 inches per year, we've got to be close to that already...

The mountains though, seem to be average/maybe below... - but compared to last year it seems amazing! I mean we already have more than 210 inches this season, last year we had a total of 390 inches - the year before....730 inches....

toopach Thanks for the thumbs up of the plan. Surprised to hear you had snow in SLC last two years Ive come there has been no snow in the valley. Only questions I can have is a heads up on any good tree runs anywhere for intermediate/advanced type riders. In the mean time will pray for snow and keep watching the wasatch snow report.

WasatchMan Sounds like a perfect plan to me!

Starting with PCMR, then The Canyons -

- Then Snowbasin, Powder Mountain -

- Then Brighton, Solitude

- Then Snowbird for the final day.

You are going from mellow to more advanced and intense terrain each resort/day, which should be awesome!

Just pray for snow, it looks like we are headed into a harsh dry-spell for the next couple weeks, but December and the middle of January have been great. Record breaking snowfall fell here in downtown Salt Lake City so that should clear up by the time you arrive (walking and driving have been awful!) but the cold has been more brutal than I can remember, SLC has been in single digits for most of January, PC has seen negative temps quite a bit too. It's currently -8F in PC, and it reached -42F in Northern Utah today. If this cold continues, DRESS WARM!

Map of the area which can be helpful - /

Let me know if you have any questions!

Park City quick start free lift ticket

So we are flying in Sunday Feb 3 and plan on using the free ticket for boarding pass. Now which to hit Park City or the Canyons. After that we are going to watch the superbowl in Park City and stay there the night and then head to Snowbasin the next day, Powder Mountain on Tuesday, then the cottonwood resorts Wednesday and Thursday. This is just the general plan with booking a hotel the first night and then letting the snow conditions decide where we go the rest of our trip.
