I woulnd't set the back foot straight. Give it a little angle like -6 or -9.
At your height I'd recommend starting at 24 inches wide with a 12 in the front and a -9 in the back. Change one thing at a time as you begin to alter it (rear bindng angle one day, front binding angle the next and so on).

Thanks for responding to my question.
I did not pay attention to the stance on the rental boards.
Used a friends board once last season and I believe he rode with the back foot straight.
I am NOT goofy footed.
Haven't had a problem riding any board I've been only but really have only gone a handful of times.

|NWBoarder||You can do it yourself just fine. I would start with setting them at the reference point on the insert and then you can widen or shorten your stance from there. I would also suggest a duck stance. So set the angles at 15,-15 or something around there. Ultimately, it's going to come down to what's comfortable for you. Just play with it at home until if feels good, and then if you get up to the mountain and don't like it, you can change it.|

Set my stance?
So I just purchased my own equipment for the first time and pretty pumped it get it in the mail, and get on the mountain (NY and NJ).
I am still a beginner and will probably only get out 2-3 times, but hoping for more.
I ordered (all separate):
Rome Garage Rocker 159 (i am 6'1" 185)
Ride EX bindings
Forum Formula boots (already have them)
Being this is my first time buying equipment, how should I set my stance?
Is it something I can do on my own or have a shop do it?
