Right on! Yeah I'm sure we'll have some -35 stuff again one of these days but it's been a good winter so far. Glad you saw some of the rockies so far before it really snows, it only gets better from here...

I'm heading out somewhere this weekend, either Nakiska or Lake Louise, probably make it a game time decision.

Surftech88 I ended up going to Lake Louise on Tuesday and super happy I did. Great first experience in the Rockies. Ended up going on the Ski Friends tour with a bunch of feisty seniors. They knew the mountain like the back of their hand and we went on a few awesome runs that I would not have found if I was on my own. Probably working Saturday but might try to get out somewhere Sunday morning. The weather has been unreal as well, really hoping it stays this way! Can't wait to get back out... Not sure why I didn't make the move sooner!

Loves2splooge Nakiska will probably be icy as hell tomorrow - but good luck. I'm heading up to either the lake or sunshine this weekend so if you go up pm me and we can ride a few laps.

Surftech88 Hey guys thanks for all the replies. I got to Calgary today and moved all my stuff in. Not going to be starting work until Wednesday so I'm thinking of heading to Nakiska on Tuesday. As Poutanen was saying it would be a good place to break my legs in since I've only ever rode Blue Mountain and the east side. I'm also going to get a Costco membership tomorrow to grab lift tickets as that sounds like the best route. Thanks for all the info I definitely appreciate it!
If anyone is heading out on Tuesday from Calgary let me know.

At LL or Fernie I can ride just a high speed quad or 6 on the upper mountain portions and spend more time on the type of terrain I like.

KH could be great with another couple lifts installed on the upper mountain.
Where you heading tomorrow?

Just drove over the Bow. She looks real good today for nymphing some big rainbows and browns.
But, I thought all fish came from the grocery store....

I just love being in close proximity to the mountains for activites during all 4 seasons. Skiing/riding, biking, hiking, camping, random exploring, and hunting.

They have a shorter season than SSV, but the terrain available is just amazing. Saying that, if you like groomed runs you can go to any hill.

SSV consistently has better snow than Lake Louise by the way, thought you might like to know.
