I'm not a big park guy but from the few laps I did take, the parks were perfect!

Then, at night when it refroze, the groomers were fast and fun. I didn't let a little ice run me off. Shit! I lapped 2 bowl all night Thursday and improved my dynamic ice carving skills. While people all over the country don't even have a base, how can anyone bitch about this week's conditions in the PNW?

Seriously, I just dont get northwest people sometimes. In a place that is grey, gloomy, wet and depressing so much of the time, people bitch about a week of sunny weather. I hear these idiots in Portland whining about "missing the rain" and claiming that they "hate sunny weather".....WTF????

They all must have moss growing on their brains! I for one am totally digging this welcome break because I know it won't last and come March, the PNW gets fucking nuked with storms from the Gulf of Alaska. Does it every year. Soak up this sun now while you can and crank up those grills in the parking lot and fucking enjoy it rather than bitch about it!

Love that board...... now I know why you've been riding it so much!

pdxrealtor Damn it's supposed to be spring skiing again down here. After noon things will soften up and there should be plenty of fresh wet poop to cruise through when they open the upper lift hopefully later today or tomorrow. This was a shot of the upper most lift just now. Sunny and above the clouds. Spring skiing is my second favorite so I don't mind it.

Extremo You're not the only ones. East Coast just got raped with weather. Rained for 18 hours with a high of 53. Jumps have turned to bumps which will turn to ice tonight. Can't even imagine what the hill will look like this weekend.

that1guy That's what I was thinking. Looks like I will be watching the Superbowl, bbq'ing and working on my wife's car this weekend.

damn weather!!

Tried to get some afternoon leftovers at Stevens yesterday. Very very wind buffed, and really heavy pow where it was collecting. Really crazy wind transport. A little knob I was riding last Saturday (6' drop of so) was now a 15' drop with HUGE cornice. Got some decent turns in protected spots off Corona Bowl, but didn't push my luck and venture into my usual sidecountry (would have been poor form, given the avy conditions). Wasn't raining when I left at 4, but the snowflakes were super heavy.

NWBoarder Yep, the weather hates me. I'm so fucked for tomorrow. Hope the kids don't mind riding in the rain.

Triple8Sol So report last night said it was going to start raining at Qualm after 10pm. Checked weather report again on the way to work at 6am and it had changed to rain after 10am. Looks like the freezing level rose faster than anticipated, so now even Stevens/Crystal look like they'll be seeing rain from here on out. FUUUUUUUUUUU
