100%, read any helmet manual and it'll say that after any impact it needs to be changed.

That said I bonk my head quite often against trees, sometimes the snow, rocks. I haven't changed helmets yet because I haven't seen any damage yet to any part of the helmet. Even all those little bonks are making me think it's time to get a new one again soon...

Triple8Sol You wear a helmet to be extra safe. Why would you wear a damages helmet? Might as well stick with a beanie that's lighter and more comfortable in that case.

dlau247 yeah thanks for your insight guys. wasn't trying to save money especially when this helmet saved my ass but was just wondering the life span of one.

CK93 I just took a spill last week and got a mild concussion and whiplash.

I just bought a $170 that had only been worn 5 times. It still looks in good shape except for the visor. BUT---

I still bought a new one. The helmet probably saved my melon a ton. I don't look at is as $170 down the drain, I look at it as $170 well spent. I still have a headache a week and half later. I can only imagine what would have happened if I wasn't wearing a helmet OR a helmet that wasn't in 100% perfect condition.

I am not risking my head wearing that helmet again.

Haven't worn my new one yet, still waiting for headache to go away before I head back up.

I agree with other people--if you have to ask, its done. don't risk it.

Nivek If you ever have to question if you're helmet is dead, it's dead. Don't risk you're life with a shady helmet.

accuracy No, just plain common sense bro. im pretty sure you value your head more than a $100 helmet.
