gogetadbl Foursquare usually has a high waterproof/breathability rating at low prices compared to other brands. I got a 15k/10k jacket and pants for $73 and $63 from WhiskyMilitia. Haven't tried em out yet though.

604al well, as usual, burton gear is typically overpriced. Sessions, 686, Oakley, special blend off the top of my head are fine. Also keep in mind that alot of these feature a baggy fit... I usually am a large, but find myself in mediums sometimes when it comes to snowboard jackets.

Nickatron If your saying that all of the brands are great, then help narrow it down for me and tell me your favorites.

indeed. picked up a gore-tex jacket for WM for $100.

legallyillegal There are TONS of sub-$100 pants out there from all the big brands.
3-in-1 jackets go as low as $100 from the same brands.

Backcountryoutlet.com has killer deals on last year's stuff (i.e. 50% off).

Nickatron Are there any particular unbloated brands that are known to be lower priced but good quality?

Nice Set of Jacket and Pants Under $200?

This winter season I want to take my brother snowboarding, he has been to snow summit once with his friends and had a blast. I've only been a couple of times myself. Usually we just borrow some snow gear from friends, but since we plan to go more often, I would like to buy us both a set of snow gear for a semi-early Christmas present. Is it possible to get a snow jacket and pants for under $200? Or am I looking to spend a bit more? FYI we are snowboarding in southern California if that makes a difference.
