Flick Montana I agree with the Oblivion content. That was just a joke. For a game that had very little in the way of variety, in my opinion, I found it cheap that they would charge for piddly stuff. How about adding weapon varieties like in Diablo? That would have held my interest a lot longer.

The recent free content for L4D was a huge game improvement and superior to most downloads you can get for free. I mean it has a whole new game type with it's own stage and opens up multiplayer in 2 more levels. The Oblivion content was just different types of buildings you could get in a 5 minute quest and they weren't even great buildings.

Fold Yeah, they made a dumb move with the horse armor. I guess they had some deal a few weeks back where all the Oblivion DLC was half off. Except the horse armor, which was double. At least they can laugh at themselves about it. Don;t think they'll do anything that useless again. Plus, the upcoming Fallout 3 DLC sounds pretty ballsy. It extends the main story, and ups the level cap to 30, among other things.

Oblivion DLC gets half off, except horse armor ... which is doubled

SpringheelJack Standing in sharp contrast to Bethesda's policy of "Let's see exactly what kind of garbage people are willing to pay for, as long as it's in 'points' instead of dollars."

I'd like to see more DLC, free or otherwise anyhow. Most games have one small, stupid add-on and that's it.

Fold Nice, I'll see if I can pick up a used copy of it.
I've seen other games that had free DLC, although most often it was very small (like a new outfit or something dumb), or it was sponsored by a third party looking to get in on this "new gaming thing".

I hated the demo, but I love the game. I think the problem was that I played through it in single player and thought, "What's the appeal?" Then I played the multiplayer and now I am addicted.

I will say that I get disconnected a LOT and it always comes without warning. That part is irritating, especially when you are on the finale of Blood Harvest and it is the only one you haven't beat.

Plus, Valve is fighting Microsoft for free releases. They have always made their DLC free and MS wants to make people pay for it. If Valve wins out, all the new stuff won't cost a penny.

It's a lot of fun in general for what is offered in terms of multiplayer in campaign, versus and survival mode. I will say however if your group is just a bunch of turds running off on their own and don't stick together particularly for versus and survival mode, it can get pretty frustrating. But it's quite a challenge.

Flick Montana Thanks for the update, Vlaze! I was eagerly awaiting that d/l.

Also, I have 3/4 on What Are You Trying To Prove? so if anyone wants to do Blood Harvest on expert, hit me up. I can make it all the way to the second tank with bots, but they are all dead by the time he shows up.

And my gamertag is in my sig. But if you don't have those turned on it is "three50 TheSTiG" minus quotes of course.

Vlaze New d/l updates came out yesterday for horde matches. All I can say is now, this makes GoW2 horde look like a cake walk. Try to survive past 3 minutes is tough enough let alone go for the bronze which is a minimum of 4 minutes, silver 7 I think and gold 10, freaking insane.

Bake I didn't even notice it until I read this thread again that you were the stranger I added to my friend list when the invite was sent lol. I'll have to get a match together with you sometime. Flick what's your profile name?

Vlaze XBox name: Obso1ete (yes that's a 1 not an L). Invite me if you are looking for more people on L4D sometime.
