linvillegorge Unbelievable how many times it's snowed 6" in Denver, 2 feet here in Evergreen and 2" on the slopes and I-70 is an absolute parking lot with people flocking for the slopes. It's insane. Do these people not know how to check a snowstake cam and a snow report?

Snowboarding is fun and all, but I think knitting is more my speed now. If anyone needs me I'll be over at the KnittingForum.com, hanging out in the Colorado Yarn, Meet Ups, and General Discussion thread.

I keep seeing you guys say this over the years and I assumed it was sarcasm to keep people away. Used to do loveland pass with friends taking turns driving my pickup truck back in the 90's a lot, and don't quite remember it being that windy/cold. Some of my best days were there, short but fresh lines all day. Could have just been lucky timing. Although, i-70 sure was a lot easier back then too. Memberberries I guess.

Hahaha, I feel your pain bud. I thought I would be set when we bought this house in Lakewood in 2011, far west side just a few blocks from 6th ave fwy. ~60 miles to Copper? No problemo. Damn was I wrong.

Weekends have been off the table for years to me now. The only solution short of moving back up there I think is just leaving late and going home early. I've been in the i-70 rage quit mode, and it's always when I leave at 6am or so. Seems like waiting until ~10am to drive up, get 2-3 hours of laps, then gtfo has been pretty kind to me in the past.

Yeah you miss most all of the fresh tracks. But god damn i-70 is just the worst ever and makes me rage. Was looking at places in Steamboat just to get away from i-70, and planning a move there before the wife got pregnant (and I destroyed my shoulder), everything on hold now.

Sunday is better than Saturday, at least as far as traffic is concerned. Also, you are driving a little too far.....
