I started in 77 when I was 16, I am now 47. There were many places that as a young snowsurfer, I dropped after no one. There were days when the lift was off limits, other days we were let on for free. Sometimes we had to wear little kids ski, most of the time, we post holed. Most of us then were surfers, skaters but the most stylish were the surfers no less. The French had it right off the bat. Hang gliding distracted me from it for quite a while. Then came Peter and Jean and we drug our knees and planed with our hands. Hard boots finally made it. The best did summer ski, we ran cones in the off season. I remember the Tahoe guys were on it too. It was SLC though, liquid smoke. Tahoe guys were pretty punk rock. The Flagstaff crew (not slide area) were really the PHX crew. I'm way too old for this place from what I read but there you go, I'm trying not to be old. I need a new board, Jake has the last laugh, I remember "ropes are for dopes" he who laughs last, laughs best, it is true. The corporate soul company is cancer, malignant, it will die as the bumper sticker we had on our VW buses. adam
