BoardieK Yeah, I can see from the angle it's not the Lauberhorn now.

My wifes first ski lesson was on the Lauberhorn, she kept looking for the blue runs down, haha! (Famous for its World Cup Downhill race).

This is a photo looking down on the Lauberhorn from the top of the Jungrau railway station. In my previous post the Lauberhorn is the foreground peak and the station is on the col hidden by the Lauberhorn, that shot was taken from just above top right in this photo. The cog railway leaves Kleine Scheidegg station (this photo, bottom right) goes through the north face of the Eiger, hangs a u-ey, goes under the Monch and ends at the Jungfrau at 11,000ft. It's over 100 years old, gotta hand it to these Swiss when it comes to tunnels under mountains.

neni Schilthorn.

Wow, that's an incredible bargain pass price! Since Saas Fee launched a dumping price pass last year, it seems to stir pricing politics up. I hope we will see something similar in the near future in our region. As season pass holders, we get day passes half priced in some resorts collaborating with out home mtn... but it's nothing compared to that Magic Pass...

BoardieK Lauberhorn? Nice view of some real mountains.

We've just bought a "Magic Pass" 2018 season ticket for Western Switzerland, a bargain at CHF359 ($361), unfortunately it doesn't include the Jungfrau ski region.

Can't wait.

neni Yay! Thanks for the fresh snow and cold temps! Bluebird weekend beneath Eiger, Mönch n Jungfrau

neliconcept Got back the other day from my trip to Davos and Zermatt. Davos had more snow cover at elevation giving me more pow runs. Zermatt was a bit thin in places and I took a nice core shot to my Branch. Visibility was bad in the afternoon as well as a full day in Davos but I still had an amazing time! I may try some Prizm HI pink lenses next time I come in contact with bad visibility above tree line. The Yellow/Blue weren't getting it done.

We woke up to a scene from Mordor this morning: high winds and dust everywhere. The shy was brown for 10 minutes then it started to snow.. for about 5 minutes, then snow stopped and wind all day.

March used to be our snowiest month, now everything around here is bone dry and the fire danger is rated very high.

Ditto!!!

I'm gonna miss my french press & coffee on this PNW trip. I ALWAYS pack coffee service when I trek up north. The swill in the rooms is usually un-drinkable!

...and without my morning Joe, I'm not fit to go looking for a Starbucks in the morning.
