Tatanka Head Well, you timed it right. It is looking great down there right now. Two friends in different areas (Leysin and Gstaad) just sent pics. South is getting lots of love.

Friday night we're driving down to Cervinia for a few days and will go over to Zermatt on at least one of them. Then we're going start heading back towards the UK maybe stopping at Pila for a day on the way to Chamonix for a few more. I've a friend who's in Verbier (never been) and others in Morgins (love the place) so those are options also. The second half of the trip will be based on likely conditions.

I'm double super stoked because my best university buddy, the very reason I snowboard, and one of my closest friends is coming for the first time in a few years. He and the other guy that took me the first 5 years have been busy with wives and babies and jobs and houses and I've been having to go with skiers recently. They're good mates but they're skiers so meh.

Anyway stoked!

Snow was great in Laax today. Higher elevations were closed. Still a bit unstable. Was class 4, now shifted to class 3 avy danger. Still plenty of pow between Crap Soign and Plaun. The best pow was below Crap Soign towards the valley run. Rather stable. Today was a good day. Visibility was meh, but still very doable. I only got bucked once after I came in way too hot on some cement that looked like a pow stash.

Balboa Driving back home frome 1 week Paradiski in France. Top conditions, but high risk for avalanches above 2000m.

Anyways, I was bored, decided to head up and glad I did. Found plenty of powder stashes that, while not nipple deep, were decent. A nice change to how the season started. Looking forward to Friday (31cm expected at Engelberg).
