some of my favorites over the years - none of these are in any order... just as they pop into my head. and i'm sure i'm missing a ton...
damage plan (everytime pantera came around i had to miss it for some reason - luckily i finally saw dimebag right before the end - LEGEND)
slipknot (i don't care what you think - 9 dudes on a small stage with immaculate timing is amazing)
method man / redman
dead animal mod
against all authority
toots and the maytals
some crazy skeletor karaoke shit in philly at 'the troc' or something like that? that show was amazing
i've seen a lot of good shows, but the ones above have something special about them. either the friends i went with, or the town/venue i saw them in etc
i've seen so many big acts "play it safe" in cities like LA or SF - i really like when the talent doesn't care at all, or does something weird and isn't trying to do what's comfortable. if that makes any sense...

|midnightcaper||Saw Metallica with the San Fran orchestra that was pretty sweet. Rob zombie and Maryln Manson. I usually go to all the mayhem festivals and rockfests when the come up here to Seattle. But when little Sully from godsmack calls Nikki Six a bitch during cruefest and makes him cry that's priceless.|

|mikeg||I don't go to many shows, but the best I went to was in '97 when I was 14 and saw Blink 182, River Fenix, Assorted Jellybeans, and Unwritten Law. It was at a small bar when I was living in Virginia Beach.|

Been to plenty of shows over the years, but the most fun I ever had was at the 1995 WBRU birthday bash at The Strand in Providence. The Strand is an old theatre...cool place to see a show. The 1995 lineup was awesome with Blind Melon headlining, one of Shannon Hoon's last shows before he died. Tripping Daisy absolutely killed it that night...good times.
Not a big dead fan, but a friend of mine talked me into going to the highgate show in VT in 1995. I'm glad I did it, it was quite the experience.

some of the best ones: Sheer Terror at cbgb's (supposed to be the last show, funeral wreath and everything on the stage). Cro-Mags at cb's. Cro-Mags at the continental in nyc. Quicksand in brooklyn. Lifetime in Philly. Murder City Devils in boston when they toured with at the drive in. Queens of the Stoneage in Boston. Neil Young solo in Boston.
Best big concert I've been to was probably seeing Iron Maiden with Queensryche. Both were so awesome.

in 1995 played Death in Germany, very impressive. Iīve never been a big fan of deathmetal, but what Chuck Schuldiner did on stage was just amazing. R.I.P. Chuck.
also Anthrax + Scott Ian (my-alltime-hero-on-rhytmguitar), Kreator together with HateSquad. great shows, long Hair, beer and SWEAT.
one of the funniest was Primus, donīt know the year. and not to forget kmfdm.
just digged some old tickets out of my treasure chest

best show was either KRS ONE or Suicidal Tendancies back in the day - both shows in tiny venues.
worst show by far was Bob Dylan. he is a terrible live performer. his complete lack of engagement or acknowledgement of the audience made me dislike him as a person. he's a dickhole.
