david_z yeah that's a fair guess could be quad instead of the new triple, IDK if they'd want to run that on opening day (just in case).

Good guess...

"We will have 2 lifts and 7 trails open for the weekend. Both the North Peak Quad Chair and the Shelter Double Chair will be open servicing Smiling Irishmen, Canyon, Shelter, Easy Street, Ski Shop, No. 1 & RW.

With 12" of natural snow in the last 36 hours, we will also have the Backcountry, Cruiser, Monty's, Gum Drop, Bubble Gum, Taffy, Lower Lift Line & Candy Cane open with natural snow. The new Vista 1561' Triple Chair will not quite be ready for Saturday, as the top ramp needs some more snow to open. As a result, Upper Canyon will be "hike to" access only with snowmaking in progress."

sabatoa Marhar is going to be at Cab this weekend doing demos. Wish I could make it there, I wanna try that Lumberjack.

david_z No word yet but they have been blowing snow non-stop since midnight Tuesday. I'd expect Smiling Irishman/Shelter and Easy Street (and whatever offshoots from that). It would be sick if Canyon was open they could run both chairs... and I'm optimistic that Backcountry will be rideable if the total snowfall is on the high end of forecast.

sabatoa Yep, it looks like that's where the deeper will be but I'm hoping for 8 tonight and another 4 tomorrow further north.

Any word on what might be open at cab? Boyne looks to b sticking to the one run, which is really annoying but it's their business to run, so...
