surely a deity such as you would claim to be kri$h, would know to emphasise 'the' as opposed to 'am'?

wolfie - aside from the overwhelming presumption of being able to convert these lost souls with poles, the more 'riders' there are out there, the less fresh powder there will be and the fewer people in stoopid hats and gapers for us to laff at.

leave it!

I wouldn't worry about the less powder part. The skiers I know (and it's a lot) want the same goods that I do. Maybe not the same line but they want fresh pow. I feel the skier/snowboarder is a dead horse. We have dipshits in either sport that don't get it. I ride with plenty of skiers in the backcountry that are preferred partners. They rip, looks like to me they are having just as much fun in their chosen sport, and they are just plain fun to hang with. Good natured ribbing here and there aside. In fact having a skier in your group can be advantageous from time to time. The forums at TGR are a great of example of snow sliders of all types can contribute to community and have fun. Yeah there are some douchenozzles there, but pretty much all sliders get respect minus snowbladers...

I agree with you here. I like skiiers as well. Apparently I just know more douchenozzles. The only thing for me is that I'm still learning snowboarding, so the skiing world is not interesting to me. herego the reason I want nothing to do with a skiing forum. I like it here.

How could I miss this thread .

But back to topic, personally I wouldn't mind joining the forum. But the problem is that the only thing we would have in common is that we hate each other . The forum is pretty dead only 327 members at this time, truebluefan is just prob trying to get some movement over there, I don't blame him. But we are having a rough time keeping this one alive in the off season as is.

In addition to that my knowledge about skiing is close to none, so the quality of the posts that I could contribute would be pretty bad.

is this an effort of 'preaching to the converted'?

if not, then what are you offering which isn't already being enjoyed in here?

in any event, such a site's quality is determined by the individuals who populate the collective, which makes this place infinitely more attractive than any new project (even if we have to suffer MPD )
