Thumbs up 6 Lads heading to Val D'isere / Tignes

Hey folks,

This is a first time in Espace Killy for everyone in our group, so I was just wondering if there were any must go spots for a good bit of Apre Ski etc.

Most people mention La Folie Douce, any others to speak highly of?

Thanks

I've no idea either, but I'll be following this thread with interest as I'll be there in a couple of weeks

Jump aboard! I head out there this Sunday, so hopefully the replies start coming in soon!

I just wish I could board more often.

I've been to Tignes about 5 times the nightlife is about the crappest you could imagine.

Tignes has a great mountain absolutely fantastic (providing its bluebird)

But they dont half take that for granted up there the prices and general attitude of the locals is rotten.

The best bar by a long way is The Loop in Le Lac but you need to get there early to get a seat.

Expect to pay 10 a pint out with happy hours etc

Edit.

I reckon by your post your staying in Val?

It's meant to be much better that side but also more expensive i think.

So after my Val D'Isere visit I have found out that the mountain itself is amazing as mentioned by ricksen24.

As for the night life, we didn't head over to Tignes, and I personally like to make the most of my days on the mountain than hit the towns at night. When we did venture out though, we found that the prices are aren't kind to your wallet, but having said that, La Folie Douce is a must visit and such a good laugh, table dancing and champagne showers, the ski down is also hilarious.

Most of the other bars we visited in the village are fairly low key, played a bit of beer pong in the Moris Pub, The Saloon Bar is worth a few shots and then Dicks Tea Bar was a good place to finish up with some good music and a bit of a dance!

I just wish I could board more often.
