Best ski apres in US?
Which ski resort has the best nightlife in the US?
From what I've heard - Aspen is supposed to have the best nightlife. I visited Aspen for New Year's this year and the nightlife seemed mediocre. I went to 3 or 4 different places and went home before midnight. Eric's Bar is supposed to be one of the more popular hotspots in Aspen. I think that their concept is 3 or 4 clubs in 1. Their billiards room had 60 guys and 0 chicks. I won't be going there again. The overall guy-girl ratio for nightlife in Aspen seems about 70/30 and most of the chicks are in groups with other guys. Overall I wouldn't recommend Aspen for the singles scene. Do you know anything about the nightlife around Lake Tahoe? It seems like the resort's location between CA and NV might draw more party people than Aspen. Can anyone speak from experience about nightlife in Lake Tahoe or recommend a ski resort in the US with better nightlife than Aspen? |

yeah sex ratios are really bad (low female to male ratio) in mountain towns (and in most rural areas in general) so I would recommend staying in a city if you're looking to chase some tail. Luckily, you have some good options: SLC, Denver, Sacramento, Reno, Seattle, and Vancouver.
My personal experience with Tahoe is that it was seriously lacking a vibrant nightlife, too. When rating ski apres, the ratings are relative to each other and not to party scenes in general. Anyways, If you didn't enjoy aspen you won't enjoy Tahoe either. I'd recommend making your boarding vacations exclusively for boarding and chase tail during your summer vacations |
You are rather new to this aren't you?
Aspen is one of the best ski town party scenes. That said, all mountain towns are sausage fests. Bring your own or start fucking guys. Though I think men who are into that are lacking in ski towns also. The saying for ski towns goes "you don't lose your girlfriend, you lose your turn". That pretty much sums it up. Go riding instead... |

Just sat down at a slopeside bar in Vail. 11 chicks from 21-35. 3 dudes. My wifes not included since she isn't off her run yet. I figured I would taste test blue moon vs fat tire. Pretty good double fist combo actually.....

I forget where I found this link a while ago, but ShermansTravel rated the top 10 apres ski scenes in the world. In the US they ranked Aspen, Killington, Tahoe and Telluride. Whistler also made it.
Cheers! 10 best après-ski scenes - Travel - Seasonal Travel - msnbc.com I've only been to Aspen and Killington but personally I love Aspen. Just find the people to be super chill and they have really good public transportation (my sister has a house in Basalt so all I have to do is hop on the bus so I didn't have to worry about driving). All the supposed hot spots in Killington had insane cover charges so I preferred the dive bars. At any rate, check out the article - if anything it's a fun read. |
