The Dam Brewery is decent. Also the Backcountry Brewery in Frisco is close by, and there are a couple of decent bars on Main Street there. Maybe one of the peeps who live in the area will pop in and make a comment. I am pretty much a day tripper in those spots.

Red Mountain Inn in Sliverthorne is also a good spot. Berq are you going to be in Idaho Springs? Georgetown, I don't know of anything. That town is kind of beat. Though it's fun to wander downtown and look at the streets where Clint Eastwood beat up the Black Widow biker gang in Every Which Way But Lose.

In Idaho Springs just go to Main Street. Tommy Knocker Brewery, Beau Jo's Pizza, and The Buffalo are all you need. There are a couple of local bars on the main drag through Idaho Springs Business 70 I guess. They are on the East side of the town, before you get to the Safeway. Never checked 'em out. Idaho Springs is generally fine, but there are some serious mountain kooks that live in that town. Those bars seem to be the place you'd find 'em. I hear the banjo playing every time I pass by.

The Red Ram in Georgetown is a tourist hangout during the day, a locals hangout at night. The nightlife in the downstairs bar can get interesting. Good bar food.

I vote for Tommy Knocker and Beau Jo's in Idaho Springs. I'm learning to play the banjo.
