I didn't really know where else to put this thread so I put it here... just out of curiosity, what is life like in Vermont? I went up their a few times this winter and honestly it seems pretty boring =/ I am born and raised in a suburban area in NJ where everything is "faster" per se, and Vermont just seems very spread apart and boring. Are there any good areas that are as bustling as an area in NJ, but close to a good mountain? Haha im only 14 now but my dream is to own a nice house close to a mountain :)

Well, you are still young and if you really wanted to move out to the mountains I would say move out west, Rockies, Sierra Nevadas, Cascades. If you are stuck with staying in Vermont, Burlington would probably be the place to go.

Yeah, I really have to ditch my friends who refuse to fly and take a vacation there, been to pretty much everyplace I have been dying to check out on the east coast, well, keep hitting Jay in the spring but will get up there in its hayday soon.

Just have to see that terrain first hand, think the PNW intrigues me the most.

I'd say the Burlington area would be closest to what you are looking for.
Within 1.5 hour drive to several resorts.
But the cost of living is kind of high.
Pull in a good 6 fig. salary and you should be good to go..............
No really , we don't want anyone moving here, so maybe the PNW is the way to go.:D
