Default Camelback or Windham Friday the 13th?

Planning on going for the first run of the season on Friday.

Either place gonna be better than the other? Or should I just flip a coin?

I took my first run on a snowboard at camelback back in '94 and frequented both mountains till about 2000. I preferred Windham by far, mainly for the park. But I'm sure a lot has changed in 13 years. How I miss those 3-4ft camelback super pipe walls....The even bother with a pipe anymore?

lol, yea a lot has changed. I was just asking to see who had better snow conditions or less ice.

My first run was at Hunter in 93-94.....ahhh clicker bindings.

No more pipes.

They still got that huge rock drop in the park at Windham? Took me several hours to work up the nerve to pull a 360 off it. Damn near swallowed my knees cause I overshot the transition. Man those were the days!

In general, Windham will almost always have better conditions. Hit up Camelback in the spring to harvest some corn.

Me too. Back in 98 or 99. It was one of the worst seasons they ever had. The trails were so icy, the grooming was still visible at closing time. Not sure why I stuck with it.

Oh, '99. Thats when I dislocated my elbow at Windham on one of those dbl diamonds. My tip hit a hole in the ground and I put my arm out. Didn't realize it basically ejected me into the ground. I slammed pretty good. My friends asked if I was OK. I nodded. I stood up and realized my left arm was just hanging at my side and I couldnt move it. I went down to my knees and just shook my head and said no.....lol

Freaked me out more than anything, I couldnt even lie down in the stretcher the pain was so bad. I sat back to back with a buddy of mine and bounced all the way down with the snow blowers blowing back in my face.

It was cool though, slid me onto those meat roller thingies right into the first aid. Got x-rays. I didn't wanna wait 3 hours before I got to a hospital so I had the guys try to reduce my elbow. Took 4 tries before they finally got it in.

Did twilight runs today. Snow was pretty good except for a few icy spots before the big turns.

No crowds on the weekdays. I tend to avoid the local mountains on any weekend. Weekend trips are bearable in VT though.
