Thumbs down You know it's bad...

When Jay Peak actually closes on a weekend. Bizarro weather...they're getting blanketed in ice, meanwhile it's over 60 degrees in Southern Vermont and CT. All that powder...gone.

It only takes this sort of thing happening a few times a season to ruin a whole winter. I fear climate change is here to stay. I notice a big difference

I figured all this early season riding would come to an end for us east coasters. I was going to try to head north wit buddies but it seems that they're screwed too.

At least up north it's still cold, they be able to keep a base. Southern New England is actually under a FLOOD WATCH because if all the melting snow. What a waste! Hardly anyone was even half open anyway. This warm spell is gonna hurt.

Down here... After today, it's supposed to get cold again.

2 more weeks until I can begin my season.... (Had to let a sprained ankle heal first)

The east coast is not the only place getting rain and ice. Pretty much the entire cascades got crazy ice too. Hang in there, it's still early.

I'm gonna try and stay positive. At least a cold front is coming. Hopefully we can make up for the warm weather and rain.

Yea. This weather is depressing me. I had a trip planned for Christmas but this rain and heat has the worst damn timing possible.

Yep 60 degrees here, they shut down our resorts for the weekend but re-opening tomorrow. Supposed to be mid 30's tomorrow and no warm ups anytime soon in the forecast

for my home mountains in NH it hasnt gotten warmer than 35 degrees, that base will still be nice when i get back because theyre pumping snow at night. on the other hand i am glad i'm at home in Rhode Island for the Holidays... because i dont think i would want to ride in this shit... it just melts during the day and re ices at night... we need a good cold snap before i consider going up anytime soon.
