Sunday River Late April - Maine

My friend and I want to end the season at Sunday River. He's been before but I am investigating options. It's huge!!

We want slope side condo living, low key, not over the top in price. Any suggestions? What mountain is better for me, a beginner navigating blue squares slowly. We want to snowboard from our condo

Thanks...

Sugarloaf is great late April. Way cooler vibe than Sunday River. If you've never been you should really go. Beautiful mountain, super great vibe.

I just came back from Sunday river. Make sure you get up early because conditions can deteriorate quick in the afternoon.

Sugarloaf is the bomb. Reggae weekend is around the 10th of April I believe. I'll be having a little reggae gathering at my condo by the base lodge. The whole mountain starts shutting down after that aka stop grooming every day and don't run all the lifts mid week, so make sure you hit it up by the 2nd week of April at the latest. Snow is still good after, but everything slows down for sure.

Was talking with some friends about going up for reggae fest. Its April 11th-13th I believe. It'll be the first time riding in Maine, so I'm stoked. Just hope it all works out.

It's a pretty good time as long as the weather is decent. Reggae Fest '11 was like a riot, as it snowed most of that weekend and everyone was so pumped.

Gotta be careful though. There are A LOT of drunk idiots cruising around everywhere, so you have to ride extra defensively.

Im all the way up here in Greenville. We got our local mountain going again (big squaw) so i havent had the need to go anywhere else. I did the tough mountain challenge at sunday river... Had a blast. As far as snowboarding there definitely be interested in trying it. Id guess Sunday river is more expensive than loaf.

My advise to the op, get on google and make some calls you ahould get a good deal late season
