Killington Okemo Pico Conditions

Possibly heading up to Killington this weekend. Wondering if anyone has been there in the past week or so. It says its 100% open which is nice but how are the conditions. Im hoping it doesnt rain like it says it might. Im hoping for some early spring conditions and medium crowds.

Don't know about the coming weekend, but Sunday went up to Okemo with a few friends and it was awesome. Great conditions, and there was still a lot of snow in the trees too.

I think that area is getting a couple of inches this week, but im not 100% sure.

Right now they're 88% open versus Mt snow being 44% open. I think I'm going with okemo next weekend for my last run

that's my plan is well. Closing out Butternut this weekend, assuming it lasts, next weekend is Okemo, then I think I'm done.

I'm a little surprised Mt Snow is down to 44% open.

I rode Killington this past weekend. Saturday was super foggy from 8-9:30 up top then turned into a beach day (sunny.) It rained Saturday night through Sunday morning, the trails that were open were either super soft or iced over. Saturday was your typical spring snow but Sunday was very soupy.

All lifts open Saturday, 3 on Sunday due to ice.

So what's the prognosis for VT for the next week or so. I'm looking to try Okemo this Sunday. Just closed out the local area yesterday, Butternut in the Berkshires. I actually think they could have maybe pulled off another week so I'm hoping still some good conditions in VT?

Whatever Killington says in their report, cut it at least in half. If they say "Wintery Mix," assume an ice storm. If they say "88% Open" assume they mean barely 30% because they're counting the snowshoe tracks across the parking lot. No mountain I've ever ridden lies as bad as Killington.

I just noticed that Okemo is closing after the 13th, so last week for them. Also, are they seriously still charging full ticket price? Does nobody up north reduce them?

The resorts up here are horrible about ticket prices. In pre-season when only 6 trails are open, they'll still charge nearly full price. They never drop down at the end of the season. That's why we savvy New Englanders only hit up mountains mid-week, or join the ski clubs. I can't remember the last time I paid more than $45 for a lift ticket. Usually anywhere from $25-39 depending upon the mountain.

I've hung up my board. Don't think I'll get another chance before closing day...although the wife is out of town for a few days at the end of the week...hmmm....

Ya, i'll join CSC next year, this is my first year back in a while and didn't realize I'd get so addicted after changing over from skis and I can't pull the kid out of school too often for the mid weeks. Liftopia seems to have half off tickets for Okemo this weekend, so that's more in the range I like.
