Going to Jay's Peak for the first time

As the title says I'm going to Jay Peak for the first time. I'll be staying there for three days so no rush to do everything in one day. What would the regulars there recommend and what to stay away from? I don't plan on visiting any parks since I'm nursing a twisted ankle and I never done any glades since they don't have any runs like that where I live but I do want to try them. I'm an intermediate rider and plan on bringing two (maybe three boards with me) to cover the different things there. Pity the lifts close at 4pm and from what I've been reading there no night life there, is it worth driving into Canada to do something to kill time in the evenings?

the best night life will be the water park I think

Are you staying on the hill? If so, by the time you're done every day find a hot tub to relax in and crash. Riding there beats me up and I'm ready for bed early, but I like to get on the hill first thing every morning too.

No point in telling you specific runs to hit. Your time is best spent on the green mountain flyer (aka freezer) because you'll get tons of runs riding it all day. It's a fun hill, find your way around, take the tram at least once (especially if it's above the clouds that day).

Have fun!

went there for the first time last weekend and it was by far the best mountain ive ever been to.

Like poutanen said, take the flyer.. but definitely try the tram at least once.
the water park is sick too and the red water slide is a must.

How were the conditions? Any glade runs available this time of year? I've never been there so I'm sure I'd have fun with the limited snow/trails either way.

I was thinking of heading up there or Stowe in two weeks. Unfortunately the gondola at Stowe is ending this weekend from what I read.

I know it's petty, but it's just a pet peeve of mine...it's JAY PEAK, not JAY'S Peak. There is no dude named Jay who owns it. It's like saying you're going to Stowe's or Killington's. Don't do it. You sound lame.

That is all.
