Default Early forecast looks good

Fall 2014: Polar Vortex to Visit Northeast; South at Risk for Tropical Hit

Quote:
Following a soaking November for Northeastern residents, El Niño will make its debut early this winter, fueling early winter snow across the area.
"December could get kind of wild due to the very active southern jet stream that is going to provide the moisture for bigger snowstorms," Pastelok said. "The Northeast could have a couple of big storms in December and early January."
Hopefully this is correct.

I anxiously await the local mountains to begin to release their early season lift ticket deals so I can be like a chipmunk and hoard them all in my cheeks.

I don't know if it's still available, but Sugarbush e-mailed me a pre-season offer of $99 -- yes, $99 -- for a mid-week season pass! I only hit up the Bush a couple of times a year, but I'd might do more for $99. It would make up for some of the gas money to get there!

I wish I could take off the time from work to take part in that.
