Anyone else reluctantly residing in CT?

Anyone else out in the far corner of the state near RI? Two and a half hours to any decent slope that may or may not be ice?

I'm up by Uconn...takes a good 2 hrs. to get to the closest mountain

CT repping down in Fairfield county. thunder ridge is 1.5 hours. doesnt even count as a mountain. decent ice hills (i mean ski areas) at least 2.5 hours from me.

I'm in North Central CT, so it's Sundown for me, then VT when I need a mountain

East Hartford here. I really don't ride much if at all in CT. Maybe one night trip up the road to Sundown. I'd much rather just drive the 2 hrs to VT. Or 4 for a wknd.

Just moved up this way near Waterbury. I was going to get a pass at Southington. Seems like they have a crap mountain, but a decent park. Anyone ridden here? Is it worth it just for the park? I live less than 10 miles from it.
